HISTORY

This is one of the examples of where the history of a company is intimately linked with the history of its founder. When he was seventeen years old, Don Vicente Tur decided to take a trip to Venezuela where he lived and learned to love coffee and all that surrounds this profession.

Don Vicente, being an enterprising person, brought the idea and know-how to build a small coffee roaster on the island. This is how cafes Ibiza was born, on the plaza de la constitution, known as the old market, in the center of the old city.

Every morning the coffee was roasted in the traditional way, and delivered to the shop where it was ground in front of the client. This eagerness to do things well and a painstaking service to the client was the germ of the actual business. Cafes Ibiza has not forgotten those principles and the following generations are grateful for everything that he taught them.
